You’ll lead the accounting department and oversee all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and strategy. From journal entries to strategic insights, from compliance to commissions – you’ve got it covered.This isn’t just about crunching numbers – it’s about making an impact, driving operational efficiency, and being a key decision-maker in the future of our business.What You’ll Do- Lead day-to-day accounting functions such as journal entries, payroll, AP/AR, and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
- Generate and assess departmental financial statements and forecasts on a monthly and annual basis
- Take full responsibility for government and bank reporting
- Lead the internal controls: Implement, monitor, and improve financial policies and procedures.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all accounting related matters
- Own the monthly financial reporting process, Tax Submissions and Compliance and manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Drive the completion of accurate year-end financials and facilitate a smooth audit process
- Calculate commissions & bonuses
- Deliver KPI and strategic reporting that helps steer the ship.
- Oversee the management & professional development of the accounting staff
- A degree in Business or Accounting
- Obtained CPA or Working towards a CPA Designation
- Solid experience in financial leadership – ideally in the dealership, retail, or similar industry.
- Deep understanding of Canadian tax laws and financial compliance.
- Strong background in budgeting, financial analysis, and planning.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office ninja-level skills.
- Experience leading a team and inspiring great performance.
- A sharp eye for detail, strong communication chops, and a "get-it-done" attitude.
- A valid driver's license – because you might want to test drive a few of our beauties.
