Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer - Analytics be part of making this/that happen.  
The Senior Developer will contribute to our FinOps team by supporting initiatives focused on FinOps-related analytics. This includes working with orchestration tools, databases, data pipelines, and platforms. You will primarily program in Python and SQL. Your contributions will be a critical part of FinOps efforts at Arctic Wolf, enabling us to deliver world-class cybersecurity software to our clients in a cost-effective manner.


In this role, you get to:

  • Develop and maintain a scalable FinOps analytics platform on AWS to support Data Scientists, Developers, Analysts, Economists, and Managers in understanding cloud cost-related metrics.

  • Build and optimize data pipelines from various sources using Python and SQL.

  • Work with a variety of existing and emerging software engineering tools and technologies as needed.

  • Improve deployment processes, monitor data inputs/outputs, and ensure accuracy across complex data pipelines.

  • Gain familiarity with core FinOps practices, including Cost Visibility, Budgeting and Forecasting, Resource Optimization, Chargeback and Showback, Governance and Control, and Continuous Improvement.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for improving the FinOps analytics platform.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Strong Python and SQL skills

  • Familiarity with OLAP databases, and Python data libraries like pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter

  • Experience working with data pipeline tools in production environment (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, Spark, Stitch)

  • Experience working with data warehouses and query engines (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Athena)

  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Understanding of optimization methods in data engineering

Nice to have:

  • Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines for data pipelines(e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, automated testing)

  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, GreatExpectations)
