The TransUnion Event Marketing team develops event strategies for live and virtual experiences that positively impact brand awareness and customer loyalty and deliver against business priorities. We bring our brand to life, driving awareness, and delivering relevant content. We create opportunities to acquire new leads and foster customer relationships. We leverage data to highlight the impact and value of events to make smarter decisions on event investments, and we drive operational efficiency and consistency with end-to-end event execution.
The Event Marketing Specialist role supports business stakeholders with event research, management and execution of TransUnion’s presence at third-party and proprietary events. The position will focus on execution excellence and help create activations to maximize lead collection and grow the business.

What You'll Bring:

  • Manage end-to end planning and execution of TransUnion’s sponsorship and presence at third party tradeshows, including sponsorship negotiation/contracting, tabletop or booth design, build and execution (through exhibit services supplier), managing show management services, in-booth experiences, giveaways, etc.

  • Source and manage customer meeting room options and/or customer event locations, where applicable

  • Manage event technologies, such as Cvent registration websites and lead capture technology.

  • Act as a partner to the business by recommending improvements to previous events, implementing industry best practices, suggesting innovative ideas and cost efficiencies.

  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders, project managing overall experience, setting clear expectations, and driving for alignment on event strategy and delivery

  • Partner with marketing communications team on Eloqua campaign creation, and coordination of event creative deliverables, such as event graphics, literature, advertising, promotional items, etc.

  • Plan, forecast, and manage against a defined event budget, and partner with finance and accounting on budget reporting and reconciliation

Impact You'll Make:

  • Bachelors’ degree in event management/hospitality, marketing, communications, or related experience in the field

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience executing tradeshows

  • Experience leading cross functional teams and managing agencies/vendors

  • Understanding of event technical production and logistics

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve, manage multiple projects/events at one time, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Strong people skills, willingness to accept and provide direction, ability to work independently while remaining a team player

  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time. Note that most of these tradeshows will not require travel. There may be opportunities for travel on occasion.

  • Cvent experience a plus.

  • Advanced English communications skills

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
