About ClickHouse

Established in 2009, ClickHouse leads the industry with its open-source column-oriented database system, driven by the vision of becoming the fastest OLAP database globally. The company empowers users to generate real-time analytical reports through SQL queries, emphasizing speed in managing escalating data volumes. Enterprises globally, including Lyft, Sony, IBM, GitLab, Twilio, HubSpot, and many more, rely on ClickHouse Cloud. It is available through open-source or on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.

Note:  This role is remote, but the final candidate must be based in Toronto or Montreal.

As our first Account Executive in Canada, you will be a builder and hunter: owning the Canadian territory to generate pipeline, close cloud subscriptions (monthly and annual committed spend), and grow a sustainable customer community. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys both technical conversations and community engagement.

What you will do:

  • Own the Canada territory: source, qualify, and close new business (Cloud monthly contracts and annual committed spend).

  • Build, manage, and forecast a healthy pipeline in Salesforce; keep accurate deal details, next steps, decision criteria, and forecast cadence.

  • Use a solution-based sales approach to map ClickHouse Cloud to customer business needs and technical requirements.

  • Evangelize ClickHouse and ClickHouse Cloud — to engineering, data, and executive stakeholders.

  • Drive regional community and developer engagement: attend and run meetups, user groups, and industry events in key metro areas.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to close complex deals and create long-term customer value.

  • Accurately forecast monthly and contribute to quarterly planning.

  • Be comfortable operating with autonomy and grit in a fast-moving startup environment; flexible hours for customer and community commitments.

What we are looking for:

  • 8–10+ years of quota-carrying sales experience selling Cloud, Infrastructure, or Data platform software.

  • Demonstrated success selling to mid-market and enterprise accounts in Canada.

  • Strong technical fluency with cloud, data analytics, or infrastructure solutions — able to engage with both technical and executive buyers.

  • Proven ability to manage deal cycles end-to-end and to forecast reliably in Salesforce.

  • High sense of ownership, bias for action, and comfort working independently to build a territory from the ground up.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel regionally for customer meetings and events as required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with open-source business models or a company that supports open-source.

  • Recent experience selling into GenAI, AI-native, or data/analytics teams.

  • Background selling cloud SaaS, observability, or analytics solutions.

  • Track record of building developer or user communities (running meetups, user groups, or developer advocacy programs).

  • Experience working remotely in a global, distributed organization.
