Interface has a sales opening on our Ontario team! The successful candidate is responsible for generating sales, identifying, and qualifying business opportunities and presenting Interface products to customers as well as preparing formal proposals and leading negotiations to close the sale. This individual will call on A&D, Dealer and End User customers with the primary goal of developing preference for Interface products and services in Ontario.
Key Territory Highlights:
- Geographic Scope: This role covers a broad and strategic region—stretching from east of Thunder Bay through Northern Ontario and extending west of Belleville in Eastern Ontario

Essential duties:
- Manage relationships to drive sales with assigned key Architect and Design firms and end users to develop business with other high potential accounts and prospects
- Advise end users on product selection to meet project design and cost objectives
- Present Interface products to customers and educate end users & dealers on Interface products & benefits
- Work to get Interface specified by end users for active projects
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with end users, real estate project managers, and other key decision makers.
- Leverage internal sales support resources, provide samples, technical information, and answers to end user questions
- Develop partnering relationships with key dealers, secure their discretionary business
- Deepen end user commitment to Interface and secure agreements
- Prepare formal proposals
- Lead negotiations
- Coordinate complex decision-making processes with customers
- Identify and remove barriers to closing the sale
- Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts to management
- Manage all expenses within budget set and submit expense reports promptly per policy
- Input data into CRM to ensure database is current
- Local travel required
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is preferred
Skills and Experience:
- 3 + years of sales experience within the flooring, textiles, design or furniture industry
- Comfortable overseeing a broad geographic area with the flexibility to travel as needed
- Brings strong prospecting skills and a passion for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable to the unique dynamics of both Northern and Eastern Ontario and thrives in a team-oriented environment
- Skilled at uncovering off-market opportunities and nurturing them into lasting client partnerships.

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize independent work schedule

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $65,000 CAD
Maximum: $85,000 CAD
Plus ability to earn commission and bonus income.
