Our client, an established commercial electronic security solutions provider serving businesses across Ontario, is hiring an Account Manager to grow new and existing business across Ontario, primarily in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. This is an ideal next step for someone with electronic security knowledge and customer-facing experience who wants to own the full sales cycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electronic security knowledge and customer-facing experience who is ready to grow into full-cycle account ownership. You will manage new and existing B2B opportunities involving video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarms, monitoring and cloud-based security solutions.

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Office Base: Markham, ON
Account Territory: Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), with occasional travel elsewhere in Ontario
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote and field-based, with optional access to the Markham office

What You'll Do
  • Manage new and existing B2B customer opportunities from discovery through close and ongoing account development.
  • Conduct virtual and onsite meetings, customer discovery and security site surveys.
  • Develop practical video surveillance, access control, alarm and related electronic security solutions.
  • Prepare scopes of work, quotations and proposals; present recommendations and follow up consistently.
  • Grow existing accounts, prospect targeted new opportunities and sell recurring monitoring, cloud, mobile and maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline information in Salesforce and partner with technical and Operations teams for a smooth handoff.


Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in electronic security, low-voltage systems or a closely related technical-systems environment.
  • Working knowledge of video surveillance and access control, including concepts such as IP networking, PoE, NVR/VMS, readers and door hardware.
  • Customer-facing B2B sales, technical sales, estimating, sales support or account-management experience.
  • Strong listening, communication, organization and follow-through, with the confidence to discuss technical solutions in plain language.
  • Ability to work independently from home while collaborating closely with Sales, technical and Operations colleagues.
  • Valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle and ability to travel across the GTA/GTHA and occasionally elsewhere in Ontario.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary: $55,000-$65,000, based on experience and technical background.
  • Meaningful uncapped commission; expected total compensation is approximately $70,000-$90,000+ in Year 1, with a path to $80,000-$100,000+ for strong performance in Year 2 and beyond.
  • Business-kilometre reimbursement, $50 monthly cell phone allowance, and company-provided computer and required equipment.
  • Two weeks' paid vacation to start, with flexibility to discuss three weeks based on experience, plus four paid sick days annually.
