Account Manager:
The Account Manager is responsible for enhancing client relationships while growing GFL Environmental Service’s commercial market share. The role will be relied upon to grow and broaden GFL services within new and existing accounts. This position will focus primarily on growing revenue within our Commercial Liquid Waste collection services in addition to instilling confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader.
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain working knowledge of commercial automotive waste services and equipment pricing, costs and application to vacuum truck services, parts washer services and body shop services.
Maintain good customer relations by traveling throughout assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers to assess and manage customer needs.
Compile and manage lists of prospective customers for use in sales leads through cold-calling and other techniques.
Develop a thorough knowledge of service offerings and regulatory requirements and demonstrate value to customers and prospects.
Aggressively solicit and develop relationships with current and prospective customers to maintain and increase customer base and market share within the assigned territory.
Perform customer waste inventories, onsite job reviews, and product sampling as required.
Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing the Company’s diverse service offerings.
Quote, onboard and arrange services for new and existing customers.
Call existing customers to promote and arrange reoccurring services.
Visit customers, plan meetings and participate in sales blitzes to promote and upsell services to existing customers. Expected travel: 40%
Verify account details and ensure the accurate flow of information within the department.
Customer Management Champion—manages all important customer account information in company databases, maintains regular updates and ensures all information is complete, timely and accurate.
Quickly adapt to new situations and approaches; open to change and readily adopt new methods in the face of shifting priorities.
Review, summarize and prepare various reports.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree or diploma from a university or college program.
• Knowledge or experience in waste management is preferred but not required.
• Possess valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented.
• Ability to effectively and professionally present information to customers, managers and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as volumes, estimates, and percentages.
• Ability to create, design and implement solutions to general and customer specific problems.
• Ability to self-direct various assigned initiatives and to work under limited supervision.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and high-energy.
