About the Role

Planful is looking for an experienced and highly self-motivated Account Management professional to help grow a specialized portfolio of our customers. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated and successful track record of building and nurturing long-term relationships with Mid-Market customers, with a passion for the blend between technology and finance. This role has the ultimate objective of ensuring our customers are satisfied with our services, committed to a long term partnership and an increasing investment over time.

The Account Manager will work as a strategic advisor to the customer base (established, upper Mid-Market client accounts) — aligning not only to the customers’ Planful initiatives, but also their internal processes, bottlenecks, and corporate strategy. You’ll build trusted relationships across multiple levels and personas within your accounts, and operate as a key liaison between the customer and Planful’s internal collaborators, including departments like renewals, solutions consultants, professional services, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively, identify, qualify and upsell within your existing sales pipeline of Mid-Market accounts (100% existing logos)
  • Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
  • Responsible for annual revenue targets linking to upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your existing book of business
  • Work closely with the Customer ecosystem, Solutions consulting organization and professional services team to maximize deal sizes
  • Proactively and creatively reach out with insight driven content
  • Regular updating of notes/steps in Salesforce.
  • Assist sales and marketing to identify clients willing to assist in references and marketing events

What you Bring to the Table

  • Located in Pacific or Mountain Timezone.
  • 3+ years successful track record of sales in the enterprise software or software-as-a-service market selling into an established client base
  • Experience with large-scale, technologically sophisticated accounts and  upper mid-market customers in a fast paced SaaS environment
  • Experience driving adoption and change management within tech organizations. We’ll teach you all about the Planful product suite, but prior exposure to FP&A, ERP, EPM, etc is a plus
  • High levels of organization in your workflows - you understand what it means to be responsible for a customer portfolio and to prioritize your time efficiently
  • A passion for partnership and collaboration. You’ll need to partner with multiple Planful teams on a regular basis (Sales, Marketing, Support, Product, C-Suite) to achieve your customer outcomes
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You’ll be presenting to diverse and senior audiences, ranging from financial analysts to CFOs

Pay Transparency Statement 

At Planful our top priority is to support our employees and ensure each individual has access to equal growth opportunities. Pay decisions take into consideration the individual's skillset, experience, knowledge, qualifications for the role, and specific work location. 

Our base salary band for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 USD per year, depending on working location and experience. This position is eligible for bonuses/ commission and more details about our company benefits can be found here: https://planful.com/jobs/
