The Data Protection Foundation Department is mainly responsible for implementing and upgrading Desjardins Group’s data protection platforms, including simple, efficient common services such as data protection using Protegrity platform encryption and tokenization mechanisms and document protection using Azure Information Protection (AIP) protection mechanisms. As IT Foundations Platform Administrator, you’ll have to implement data protection services. As part of a multidisciplinary, agile squad, you’ll be responsible for supporting development teams in implementing environments and deploying code and common production infrastructures. More specifically, you will be required to:

Coordinate the planning, design and execution of activities to support a business project

Configure the various components of the Protegrity tool and other logical components to deliver data protection solutions as defined by solution architects for business projects

Help develop data protection solutions and make recommendations on applicability and consistency of solutions through proofs of concept

Analyze multiple software components to cross-reference information that leads to the source of a problem
-
Diagnose, follow up on and resolve medium- to high-severity system issues
-
Use web analytics and advanced network tools to identify the sources of problems

Install, configure and maintain the data protection application platform
-
Operate, monitor and take action to ensure stable service for the platform

Produce documents describing the installation, maintenance and operating procedures for the application platform and occasionally update solution architecture documents.

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
-
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in IT platform administration or any other relevant experience

Knowledge of French is required

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and technologies (Azure, VMware, PCF, AKS, Kubernetes and Docker)

Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat)

Proficiency with continuous delivery products: GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Concourse CI, Vault

Proficiency in bash scripting, Python or similar language

Knowledge of IaC (infrastructure as code) practices: Terraform, Ansible, Azure (Bicep/ARM)

Knowledge of monitoring, alert and logging tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, ServiceNow

Knowledge of data protection concepts (tokenization, encryption, etc.)

Knowledge of the web environment (HTTP protocol, web servers, reverse gateways, web services, etc.)

Knowledge of Agile environments: Jira, Confluence
