Perplexity is seeking an experienced Full Stack AI Software Engineer to help revolutionize the way people search and interact online. In this role, you'll translate cutting-edge AI advances into tangible products for our users.Responsibilities
  • Propose novel product features that can be built with LLMs and integrate them into our product.
  • Stay up-to-date on new features released from external LLM providers and in house researchers.
  • Improving the speed and quality of our codebase and engineering processes to ensure we consistently deliver an amazing product experience.
  • Collaborating across disciplines, including researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers, to fill gaps and ship products.
Qualifications
  • Strong programming skills with the ability to work across the full stack. Our tech stack includes Python, NextJS, TypeScript, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgresql.
  • Understands how to make tradeoffs in using different models.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • A passion for shipping quality products.
  • Proven track record of working with LLM API’s and prompting challenges.
  • 2+ years of industry experience.

The cash compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $240,000.

In 2024, our employee base grew nearly 300%, and we're just getting started.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
 
Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity may be part of the total compensation package.
