The Opportunity

Join our team of passionate digital marketers who are driven by the desire to see the impact of their hard work. As an Advertising Analyst with Outshine, you’ll execute, optimize, and report on paid digital advertising programs to help our clients—some of the best B2B SaaS companies in the world—reach their goals.

The successful candidate will be located within Canada and can expect to earn between $54,000-$60,000 CAD/year, as part of a complete, competitive package. At Outshine, we're committed to fair and growth-oriented compensation, and tend to see most Analysts join our team around the mid-point with variations depending upon relevant skills and experience. A lower starting salary usually reflects strong potential paired with ongoing skill development.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Advertising Analyst at Outshine, your role is all about getting things done. Working alongside your colleagues, you’ll help plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns, report on performance by digging into the data, research new tactics, and support other initiatives to help our clients reach their goals. Your teams rely on you for your:

  • Technical skillset. From setting up new campaigns flawlessly or developing ideas for in-platform optimizations to writing creative and error-free ad copy or reformatting a deck to match brand standards, you do it all.
  • Trustworthiness and consistency. Leads, clients, and teammates can trust you to do what you say you’re going to do, meet deadlines, and work closely with them to deliver work that meets their expectations (and your own).
  • Growth mindset. You raise your hand to try new things, push yourself into new challenges, and get feedback along the way. You know that you are accountable to your teams and clients, and reflect that feeling of responsibility in your actions and behaviour.

Key Competencies

  • Proficient working in the Google suite of products (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Slides) and can effectively create, format and proofread shared client deliverables
  • Above-average organization, communication, and time management skills

Additional Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) relevant experience in paid digital advertising or media buying/planning, specifically across paid social and search platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit)
  • Digital/marketing certifications under your belt, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc.
  • Experience in an advertising or marketing agency is an asset

To be the best fit for this role, you’re:

  • Detail-Oriented: Hyper-focused on the details and their impact on the bigger picture
  • Optimistic & Collaborative: You maintain a positive outlook in challenging times, and working on a team to solve tough problems motivates you
  • Proactive: You prioritize forward momentum on projects and in your own development
  • Analytical: You exhibit a probing mind and draw insights from data
  • Growth-Driven: You believe talent and performance can be developed through effort and persistence
  • Efficient: You produce significant output, avoiding wasted effort where possible
  • Honest & Ethical: You don’t cut corners; you do what is right, not convenient
  • Driven: You possess an unwavering determination to achieve personal and team goals

Benefits

Our people are our greatest asset, and we don’t make any mistakes about that. We invest massively in our team, offering:

  • Competitive vacation time, your birthday off, and two days/year of volunteer paid time off
  • Family or single enrolment in our group health and dental plan (we pay 80%, you pay 20%)
  • Additional health benefits, including a $350/year wellness budget, an employee assistance program, and flexible working hours
  • RRSP matching up to 3% of your salary
  • Extensive internal training programs, plus individual allowances for external training opportunities available at every stage of your career
  • Monthly cell phone allowance

Outshine's office space is located in Halifax's North End, and we have embraced a hybrid work model where teammates can choose the work arrangement that’s best for them—remote, in-office, or both. While we prefer local candidates (Nova Scotia) for entry-level positions to facilitate in-person learning and growth, we welcome applicants from across Canada.

We also offer:

  • An allowance to set up your home workspace
  • Opportunities for team connection, including two in-person team-wide events each year (onsite in the Spring & offsite in the Fall), as well as online opportunities (virtual trivia, meditation hours, cooking classes, and more)
  • Best-in-class collaboration tools, including Slack, Zoom, Asana, and Loom
  • A comprehensive, virtual onboarding experience intended to introduce colleagues to our work and each other
