What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology, Enterprise Solutions, Risk Management & Treasury Trading, Application Development team, the Application Developer possess deep expertise in C#, SQL Server, Azure Cloud, SSIS, and ETL processes. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with other business systems. The Application Developer provides technical support, resolve application issues, and perform root cause analysis.

How you'll succeed

  • Programming Skills- Develop, code and test end-to-end stack of applications. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, and debugging. Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure that business and client impact issues are well understood and addressed. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies are maintained in all aspects of the application management.
  • Systems Implementation- Participate and conduct technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Relationship Management- Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors and peers.  Lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved. Express oneself and communicate with others verbally at an advanced level; recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in application development using C#(Backend and Frontend). Strong proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, database design, performance tuning). Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. Leveraging Azure’s suite of services and tools. Solid understanding of software development best practices and SDLC. Proven experience with SSIS and ETL development. It is an asset if you have experience working in Agile environments
  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
