Base Salary Compensation Range
$98,208.00 - 1,76,792.00 USD Annual
Total Cash Compensation Range
$1,17,850.00 - 2,12,150.00 USD Annual

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to setup & shape the employee technology support function within MDBRS. This role will handle delivering high quality support experiences, oversight of service delivery across the Global Service Desk (GSD), user devices and application management.
This is a leadership role, requiring a mix of strategic planning, technical oversight, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high performing Employee Technology function. This will include hiring, developing, and managing a team of infrastructure engineers.
- Collaborate closely with GSD to ensure prompt, high-quality support services
- Drive initiatives for end-user experience improvement, automation, and standardization
- Oversee end-to-end endpoint lifecycle management including OS imaging, software packaging and deployment, and patch management
- Lead engineering and administrative efforts across platforms including: -
- User workspaces that include Azure VDIs and AWS Workspaces (OS image and workspace management)
- Zoom, Microsoft teams, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
- File server infrastructure on AWS FSx
- User devices including Laptops, Mobiles, and iPads
- Manage technical on-boarding/off-boarding processes related to devices and user software environments
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Morningstar Central Technology teams and Morningstar Information Security team for adoption of standards and meeting security standards
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, employee technology; 2+ years in a senior management role
- Proven experience managing and scaling endpoint environments across cloud infrastructure (especially Azure and AWS)
- Hands-on knowledge of OS deployment (Windows/MacOS), patching tools (Intune, SCCM, Jamf) and collaboration platforms (Zoom, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience overseeing or partnering with service desk operations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering technology transformation projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or a related field. Master's degree or certifications (e.g. ITIL, Microsoft, AWS) is a plus.
