CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for the position of a Bilingual Designer (Technologist) to join our Energy & Resources' Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development of functional, preliminary, and detailed design plans for Renewable projects: such as Wind farm design, Solar and BESS, as well as for electrification of transportation and SCADA/telecom projects. You will also be required to perform site inspections within Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. 

This role will be based in our Ottawa office, in a hybrid model (2 days/week in the office) 

 

Qualifications

  • Technician / Technologist diploma in a relevant program
  • 2-6 years experience working in a team environment and completing tasks assigned and reviewed by others.
  • Experience with industrial electrical design
  • Drafting designer, experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience interacting with contractors / clients
  • Previous experience performing site inspections
  • Fluency in English and French is required
  • Microstation / Revit knowledge is an asset, along with panel design and utility experience
