Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd was founded in 1993 to provide Foodservice Customers with a fresh alternative. An outstanding supply network, efficient distribution through our three regional locations, and our thoroughly modern processing plant are all part of our commitment to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables possible.

Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring a Full-Time Permanent Bilingual (English/French) Direct Sales Representative who is eager to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment at our Ottawa, Ontario location.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Salary and Allowance: From $60,000/year plus commission, and car allowance

Schedule: Monday to Friday. Will be required to go to Ottawa office once a week.

Territory: Ottawa - Gatineau

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sales Growth: Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to achieve and exceed company sales targets.

  • Develop Strategies: Create and execute a robust business plan and sales strategy for your assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Market Penetration: Develop and implement action plans to break into new markets and secure high-potential accounts.

  • Client Relationship Building: Establish, nurture, and strengthen relationships with clients to ensure exceptional satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term retention.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, Operations, and other internal teams to tailor solutions and deliver superior service to clients.

  • Be the Face of Fresh Start Foods: Confidently and professionally represent Fresh Start Foods in all dealings, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Ability: 3+ years of demonstrated success in direct selling, account management, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.

  • Hunter Mentality: A go-getter with a relentless drive to secure new business, take calculated risks, and close deals effectively.

  • Exceptional Negotiation Skills: Skilled at navigating complex deals with diplomacy, tact, and persuasive communication.

  • Strong Communication: Clear, concise, and confident in both written and verbal communication, able to deliver compelling pitches and presentations.

  • Customer Focused: Passionate about delivering top-tier service while balancing client satisfaction with business growth objectives.

  • Time Management & Organization: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Hangouts, Slides) to track and present results and collaborate effectively.

  • Education & Experience: Post-secondary diploma or degree in business or a related field preferred. Experience in foodservice industry is preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a Class G driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle to travel as needed.
