Job Title: Creative Marketing Designer

Location: Chiswick, UK soon relocating to Covent Garden, UK (Hybrid)

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to shape the evolution of a globally recognized, purpose-led brand at a pivotal time in its journey. As BSI continues to sharpen its strategic focus, this role will play a critical part in embedding a refreshed brand proposition across the business—ensuring it not only looks and feels consistent but also resonates with global audiences and supports long-term growth.

With over a century of credibility and impact behind us, BSI is now looking to increase visibility, elevate brand relevance, and ensure its 'profit for purpose' ethos is fully realized. You’ll be responsible for operationalizing the brand strategy—building scalable tools, templates, and workflows that empower internal teams to bring the brand to life with confidence.

Sitting within the Brand team, and working closely with global marketing partners, this role offers the chance to drive clarity and quality in brand execution, while also enhancing collaboration, efficiency, and innovation across the organization. Whether you're refining our design system, coaching teams on best practices, or leveraging automation and AI to scale brand efforts, your contribution will directly support strategic goals tied to engagement, marketing effectiveness, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain visual brand assets and scalable templates across digital, social, and print channels.

  • Apply BSI’s Design System to ensure consistency in typography, color, and layout.

  • Translate business needs into impactful, brand-aligned design solutions.

  • Refine workflows and introduce automation and emerging technologies to boost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent production.

  • Maximize use of Frontify to streamline access to brand templates and assets globally.

  • Lead onboarding and training sessions to support adoption of new tools and processes.

  • Assess current platforms and implement solutions to improve creative workflows and collaboration.

  • Support the Head of Brand in scaling brand development across the business.

  • Contribute to raising BSI’s Brand Index through consistent, high-quality design outputs.

  • Champion innovation by integrating AI and automation into brand production.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A user-focused mindset with experience improving internal processes.

  • Expertise in design systems, brand governance, and multi-channel brand application.

  • Strong collaboration skills within matrixed, cross-functional teams.

  • Sharp attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects.

  • Proficiency in tools like Figma, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Adobe CC, Google Analytics, Pardot, and Episerver.

  • Business acumen to align design with strategic goals.

  • Experience in global or agency digital design

  • Desirable: Agile working experience and involvement in marketing strategy and continuous improvement.

BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, car allowance (dependent on role), income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.
