The Business Analyst works closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for complex IT solutions. The role supports business process improvement, system design, and successful delivery of large-scale, often custom, software initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Analyze current-state processes and systems; identify improvement opportunities.
Define interfaces, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Support process redesign, solution evaluation, and trade-off analysis.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Apply and support approved departmental/project delivery methodologies.
Assess existing systems, processes, and methodologies; document application subsystems, database structures, and related components.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries and related artifacts.
Identify candidate business processes for redesign; prototype potential solutions; analyze trade-offs and recommend preferred approaches.
Experience Requirements
7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
5+ years working in an IT or software development environment
Experience with legal registry systems or financial/ERP integrations
Experience with cloud or SaaS solution selection and implementation
Experience with business process improvement and BI/reporting requirements
Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and use cases
Experience supporting public sector initiatives and options analysis
