Job Description:

Reporting to the Regional VP Business Development, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating sales, building, and strengthening new business relationships with potential prospects and understanding the advisor's book of business (goals, targets,) while uncovering opportunities to recommend Beneva products. This role will also be involved in developing sales strategies, marketing concepts and to provide support to the Business Development Directors. This role combines proactive sales activities and value-added services through daily telephone contact with existing and new advisors in the region.

Vacancy: 1 Permanent

Salary Range: $69,341 - $98,592/year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve activity and sales targets, including 25 pro-active contacts per week and business planning.

  • Sales activities are done through outbound and inbound communication with advisors.

  • Assist in the develop and ongoing management of an annual business plan for the region Support the local sales activities of the Business Development Director leads, team meeting, sales events, industry seminars.

  • Become an expert in strategies, and individual life products.

  • Achieve local sales target.

  • Develop strong relationship with advisors and Business Development Managers to ensure clients' expectations are always exceeded.

  • Responsible for updating daily activities on the time management system.

  • Develop a daily call plan to ensure sales activities are met.

  • Promote Beneva's brand, the products and high-quality service.

  • Carry out any other task, as required.

Qualifications

  • College degree in a related field is an asset.

  • 3 to 5 years of sales / marketing / call center experience in the financial services industry

  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong active listening skills — an entrepreneurial approach is key to the role.

  • Successful completion of industry related courses such CFP, CLU. Must be willing to complete LLQP.

  • Solid knowledge of financial services industry overall

  • Coachable and open to ongoing sales training

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, French would be an asset.
