Job Description:

Prospr by Sun Life is on an exciting journey to create a hybrid human and digital advice channel powered by a team of advisors and supported by a digital engagement platform.

Prospr is in the exciting, start up, phases of partnering with mortgage brokerages across Canada to offer mortgage protection solutions through life and critical illness insurance. As a result, Prospr is working closely with individual mortgage brokers to nurture relationships, become extensions of each others’ teams and scale our business.

As a successful candidate, you will support Prospr’s Products and Partnerships, and Sales and Sales Enablement teams. Reporting to the Director, Products and Partnerships, this role will focus on enhancing overall lead performance by nurturing ongoing relationships with individual mortgage brokers. You are a tenacious, sales-focused person. You build authentic relationships. You are highly focus on exceeding monthly engagement and lead targets. At events and other connection points, you have a dynamic presence. You are calm under pressure and easily overcome objections to influence others and grow and scale the business.

What will you do?

  • Support strategic planning and overall partner strategy development for the business

  • Develop tactical business plans to achieve sales targets for life, health and wealth products

  • Build relationships with new and existing external partners and provide solutions to address Client needs

  • Proactively promote Prospr’s value proposition to brokers and firms through interactive calls, delivering in person and virtual presentations and attending firm events

  • Monitor market activity and trends to identify new opportunities

  • Proven effective problem solving and complaint resolution skills

  • Ability to prioritize competing inquiries from phone and e-mail and multi-task a variety of requests at one time

  • Strong phone and active listening skills

  • Identify, analyze and resolve various issues as they occur, on a daily basis

  • Demonstrated proficient interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication

  • Proficient in sales discovery conversations (understand the advisor's business)

  • Strong time management skills

  • Open to continued education and learning

  • Onboard brokers and familiarize them with Prospr value proposition for Clients and brokers

  • Follow-up with brokers as set out in your defined jurisdiction and be responsible for reaching monthly engagement and lead targets from this group

  • Provide updates to brokers on insurance case status

  • Equip brokers with tools to help referring Clients to Prospr

  • Maintain partnershipsMeasure results of campaigns and other key metrics to test, learn and drive success.

  • Provide regular partnership performance updates to stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain relevant reporting to monitor success and opportunities with key stakeholders.

  • Oversee partner program including internal governance requirements, liaise with appropriate internal partners from across Sun Life to support partner onboarding and top brokers

  • Create and manage program level reporting and dashboards.

  • Analyze trends for new opportunities to improve lead performance.

  • Willingness to attend events, on occasion, to build deeper broker engagement

  • Driven, with the ability to think critically and have confidence in decision-making.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to be leveraged while liaising with external partners.

  • Proven balance of analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to focus on the critical business issues in a data-driven and fact-based manner.

  • Experience in sales, business development or Client acquisition capabilities such as lead generation, prospect nurturing and lead management.

  • Relevant industry experience and/or experience working in sales or business development.

  • 5+ years relevant financial services experience is an asset.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
