Employees within a 90-minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to adhere to the company in-office work guidelines of 4 days per month minimum from 10 am to 2 pm (1 of the 4 days must be a Monday or Friday).

Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will focus on building relationships for the purpose of bringing in new business from clients that want to invest in alternative assets such as real estate, notes, private companies, and more in a Self-Directed IRA. This role is part of the Sales Team and supports the acquisition of new clients. The Business Development Manager will travel 50% a year. The Business Development Manager plays a role in the success of the team by locating new business opportunities, building relationships with industry groups, prospective clients, and driving awareness of Inspira Financial in the Self-Directed space.

  • Create new relationships with industry groups, associations, investment providers, or other companies for the purpose of client acquisition
  • Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and referrals for the sales team
  • Drive inbound sales activity by presenting and speaking at conferences throughout the United States or locating conferences and speaking engagements that could be supported by the other members of the Sales Team
  • Connect with individuals interested in self-directing their retirement account through networking, events, online presentations, and other methods and expand relationship by connecting with inside sales team members to facilitate the account opening process
  • Manage and expand relationships with existing groups to increase retention and upsell opportunities
  • Collaboration with marketing in preparation for industry conferences, and to leverage strategies after events to develop campaigns that generate leads


Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of applicable experience
  • Experience within the retail industry including individual investment groups, CPAs, and real estate brokers
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and take initiative
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar CRM tool
  • Ability to work as a team member and collaborate cross-functionally

Compensation & Benefits
$55,000-$65,000 base per year plus potential earnings up to $65,000 in incentives
