Are you ready to take our birds to new heights? Join us as a Business Development Manager and a new addition to our Business Development team. You’ll be a key driver in supporting Rovio’s growth where you’ll manage the full lifecycle of complex commercial projects alongside your manager from conducting detailed market analysis to leading the contract negotiation process, and ensuring Rovio business expands through fruitful partnerships.

Whether you're working on game launches for new platforms or finding creative ways to expand Angry Birds  into new territories, you’ll be at the heart of our growth, working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders expediting contract negotiation and deal closing for high-impact commercial opportunities and value-generating partnerships that resonate across the gaming and entertainment industry.
Reporting to Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll join our central Game Services team in Espoo.

We work in a hybrid mode with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office and you can expect occasional travel. We are able to provide work permit sponsorship if needed but are not offering relocation support for this role.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Leading the deal cycle from initial pitch to final signature on your own, ensuring every partnership aligns with our creative vision and business goals, as well as supporting your team with the background work in the final phases of high-value deal cycles.
  • Negotiating commercial terms that protect Rovio’s interests while building supportive, long-term relationships with external partners.
  • Constantly conducting market analysis to evaluate how our diverse portfolio fits into the global landscape and working strategically by identifying fresh opportunities and evaluating them against the existing product and brand roadmaps
  • Collaborating across the entire organization with our Legal, Finance, Brand, and Game teams to build compelling and feasible business proposals that we can deliver on and secure the green light for new deals.
  • Owning the sales pipeline, ensuring data integrity that helps us forecast revenue and celebrate our shared wins.
  • Representing Rovio at industry events, where you’ll share our story and network with decision-makers to spark new B2B leads.
  • Onboarding high-value partners to ensure a smooth transition from an initial conversation to a signed contract and a long term partnership.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the gaming, tech, or entertainment industries, working with a wide product offering where you constantly need to come up with tailored solutions that benefit both sides.
  • A demonstrable and quantified history of successfully managing a complex commercial pipeline, leading high-value contract negotiations and expediting deal closure.
  • A talent for negotiation and a track record of structuring commercial terms that create a win-win for everyone involved.
  • Analytical mindset and past experience of conducting detailed market analysis, identifying and strategically evaluating potential opportunities against the product and brand roadmaps.
  • Proven project management skills that allow you to balance multiple commercial projects at once without losing your momentum in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Excellent communication style in English, with the ability to present ideas persuasively to both internal teams and external C-level stakeholders.
  • A collaborative spirit and a target-driven approach, finding joy in taking independent action to reach our collective milestones.

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Global perspective gained from working with international teams and clients across different regions.
  • A genuine passion for games, which helps you truly connect with our products and the players who love them.

Please send your CV in English. We look forward to speaking to you!

We welcome applicants to use the name they want to be addressed by in the application form, regardless of whether it is their legal name.

At Rovio, we are also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities or conditions in our working environment and job application procedures. We are committed to continuously improving workplace accessibility. If you have any questions before applying, please write to us at [email protected].
