This is a hybrid role out of our Vancouver office.

About us:
Commerce7, owned by Fullsteam, is a Vancouver based software startup that empowers wineries with the right tools to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Wineries use our software to sell through all direct to consumer sales channels including ecommerce, point of sale, reservations, and subscriptions.

Over the past 5 years we’ve grown to serve over 1800 wineries across 8 different countries ranging in size from mom and pop operations, to multinational enterprises.

As a Sales Development Representative at Commerce7, part of the Fullsteam organization, you will play a crucial role in generating and qualifying leads to build the foundation for our sales pipeline. Your primary focus will be on identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and nurturing leads through the early stages of the sales process... 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Identify and research potential leads through various channels, including social media, online research, and industry events. 

  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage potential customers and generate interest in our software solutions. 

  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our products and services. 

  • Schedule meetings and appointments for the sales team with qualified leads. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and activities in the CRM system. 

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine lead generation strategies and campaigns. 

  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. 

  • Track and report on lead generation activities and results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. 

 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential customers. 

  • Strong ability to identify and qualify potential leads through various research methods and outreach techniques. 

  • Understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a willingness to learn and grow in a sales role. 

  • Highly motivated and resilient, with the ability to handle rejection and continue to pursue new leads. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. 

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Driven by achieving and exceeding targets, with a strong focus on results. 

  • Understanding of the software technology industry and market dynamics. 

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, SalesLoft & Outreach) and familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques. 

Experience and Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field preferred. 

  • 1+ years experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, particularly in a SaaS or technology context, is highly desirable. This includes experience in lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying leads.
