Business Development Representative - Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
Harris Computer (Public Sector/Frontline Group) - Remote

Our public sector group is seeking an experienced business development professional to work closely with the senior management team to continue the company’s success in mergers and acquisition (M&A) activity. Reporting to the Manager, of Business Development, this position will play a key role in identifying and screening qualified acquisition opportunities with the end goal of deploying capital. 

The ideal candidate is a true people-person who is inherently self-motivated and has a passion for developing and maintaining relationships. Prior business development experience is a key asset. Knowledge of basic financial literacy and software will contribute to your success.

This position is Remote and can be located anywhere in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES  

  • Support the M&A team in screening and researching potential company targets
  • Directly solicit and engage companies for acquisition; cold call, and qualify target companies to ensure they meet our investment profile
  • Maintain relationships with PSG’s existing network of acquisition targets through frequent telephone calls and e-mails
  • Effectively communicate Harris’ investment strategy, while ensuring that the investment process is handled with care and professionalism
  • Track activities and maintain relevant information in Salesforce CRM
  • Generate and report on leads, set up qualified appointments and move opportunities through the M&A pipeline
  • Some travel required (<10%)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR  

  • 5+ years of direct experience in inside sales, business development, or M&A sourcing
  • Demonstrable experience in Business Development with an aptitude for sales, lead generation and mining of new business opportunities
  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities who thrives on new challenges and takes initiative.
  • Fluency in English
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree (Business/Economics/Finance an asset)
