About the Role

We're seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify, qualify, and nurture potential customers. You'll play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities across Canada and the US, and represent Measure Marketing by making a positive impression that sets the tone for the entire sales lifecycle. This role involves heavy CRM utilization (HubSpot) and a mix of cold and warm lead prospecting.
You’re the first touchpoint in our GTM engine—booking meetings, warming up pipeline, and helping our agency fill our calendars with the right prospects. You're confident on cold calls, creative in outreach, and disciplined in follow-up.
Responsibilities

  • Prospect via cold calling, cold email, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Set qualified meetings for AEs

  • Maintain clean HubSpot CRM data, sequences, and activity logs

  • Engage leads from inbound, events, or lead lists

  • Run short qualification/discovery calls before hand-off

  • Hit weekly KPIs (calls, emails, booked meetings)

  • Establish rapport and nurture relationships through follow-up communication and appointment confirmation

  • Monitor and report on business development performance and market feedback to inform strategic decisions

  • Stay updated on industry trends and sales techniques

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields or equivalent experience.

  • 1–3 years B2B SDR or BDR experience (agency or SaaS preferred)

  • Confident with cold outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn)

  • Fluent in HubSpot CRM

  • Strong communication and note-taking skills

  • Energy, persistence, and clarity in conversations

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset

  • Bonus: Exposure to SEO/PPC/marketing industry

What We Offer

  • Base: $45K–$60K CAD (based on experience)

  • Commission: $150–$300 per booked & qualified meeting, bonus on closed-won attribution

  • OTE Year 1: $65K–$80K CAD

  • Collaborative and supportive work environment.

  • Develop your skills in a supportive, feedback-driven environment

With over 1,800 tech companies, many of which are leaders in their sectors, the city's tech talent now makes up more than 13 percent of its total workforce. This growth is driven not only by the big players like UL Solutions and Dropbox, but also by a thriving startup ecosystem, as new businesses emerge to follow in the footsteps of those that came before them.
