What you’ll do

As a Recruiter on the Business Recruiting team, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our Sales Development team, a critical business function of our Go-To-Market (GTM) team.  You will work closely with hiring managers to create the strategy and roadmap to attract the best talent to Brex.  You’ll also play a key role in building and strengthening university partnerships, helping to develop a strong pipeline of early-career talent. This is an opportunity to be a trusted advisor, drive impactful hiring strategies, and shape the future of our workforce. This is a 12-month contract with the potential for full-time conversion. 

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our Vancouver office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with hiring managers in Sales to develop SDR hiring strategies and ensure a strong pipeline of candidates
  • Proactively source passive candidates for SDR roles through various channels, including LinkedIn recruiter, Handshake, and networking
  • Build relationships with career services and student organizations
  • Attend and coordinate career fairs, networking events, and sales competitions to attract top entry-level sales talent
  • Own the full candidate experience from sourcing to close, ensuring a seamless and engaging hiring process
  • Create comprehensive talent maps to share insights on the talent market 
  • Represent Brex to candidates, helping to find and attract exceptional talent
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for Sales Development roles and/or university hiring
  • Strong ability to build relationships with Sales hiring managers, understanding their needs and providing strategic hiring support
  • Experience managing university partnerships and developing early-career talent pipelines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to represent Brex at campus events and networking sessions
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate recruiting efforts across multiple schools and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment practices
  • BS in Human Resources or a relevant degree
  • Must be willing to work in office 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday

  • Experience developing and executing university recruiting strategies, including campus events, career fairs, and internship programs
  • Experience with Greenhouse ATS
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $85,600 - $107,000 CAD.  However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
