Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Capital Markets Sales Technology Lead with deep expertise in equity derivatives to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of technology and structured products sales, driving the development and enhancement of tools and platforms that empower our distribution and sales teams. You will serve as the primary technology partner for the equity derivatives business, translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of sales technology solutions supporting equity derivatives and structured products distribution.
- Architect and own the design of a scalable order management system (OMS) for equity derivatives, covering the full order lifecycle (initiation, pre-trade checks, execution, booking, settlement, and post-trade management).
- Architect and build integrations with vendor platforms including SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and CAIS to support product distribution, lifecycle management, and reporting workflows.
- Drive adoption of digital distribution channels and self-service tooling for internal and external clients.
- Manage and maintain Bloomberg structured note contribution workflows, ensuring accurate and timely secondary market price publication via the BSYM/BBGID framework and coordinating with the Bloomberg terminal integration layer.
- Design and own relational database schemas (SQL) and document store models (MongoDB) supporting trade data, product catalogues, client activity, and reporting pipelines.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with third-party technology vendors.
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II).
- Define and enforce coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices across the sales technology stack.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and business analysts on the team.
- Monitor system performance, manage incident response, and own the reliability of production systems.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have):
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a capital markets or financial services environment.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and Java; ability to own full-stack delivery across both.
- Deep understanding of equity derivatives products (including structured notes, autocallables, barrier options, and equity-linked products) from a sales and technology perspective.
- Demonstrated experience working with or integrating into structured product distribution platforms: SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and/or CAIS.
- Proven experience managing Bloomberg structured note contribution workflows, including secondary market price publication, BSYM/BBGID identifiers, and Bloomberg terminal integration.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with FIX or other financial messaging protocols.
- Strong database proficiency across both relational and document-oriented paradigms.
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, order management, and structured product workflows.
- Proven track record of leading technical delivery in an Agile environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with sales, trading, and senior stakeholders.

- Familiarity with additional structured product platforms beyond those listed.
- Exposure to structured products linked to other asset classes (rates, credit, FX).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of data engineering / ETL pipelines for reporting and analytics.
- Prior experience with FIX protocol implementations in an OMS context.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks beyond MiFID II (e.g., Dodd-Frank, SEC Reg BI).
