Part-Time Casual Data Analyst, Biosciences

About the Role

If you know how to use programming language to analyze, transform, and present data collected in preclinical studies, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Biosciences team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based remotely in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, transform and present data from Cochlear run Large Animal Model in support of an organizational project
  • Establish scripts, execution instructions and platforms to enable Biosciences Team to undertake own data analysis
  • Support Biosciences Team data analysis needs as directed from time to time

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering or material science
  • Experience with programming languages e.g. Python
  • Experience managing complex research projects
  • Exposure to hearing loss research
  • Preferred Experience
    • Postgraduate qualification in science, engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or material science
    • Previous experience working with Cochlear Limited products and/or data
    • Experience analyzing psychophysiological data such as impedances

Salary

  • Target Salary Range: $35.00 CAD per hour. Compensation offered to candidate may vary based on work experience, education and/or skill level.

  • Analyser, transformer et présenter les données issues du modèle animal de grande taille utilisé par Cochlear dans le cadre d’un projet organisationnel.
  • Développer des scripts, des instructions d’exécution et des plateformes permettant à l’équipe Biosciences d’effectuer ses propres analyses de données.
  • Apporter un soutien ponctuel à l’équipe Biosciences pour l’analyse de données, selon les besoins.

Exigences principales

  • Diplôme de licence en sciences, ingénierie, bio-ingénierie, ingénierie biomédicale ou science des matériaux.
  • Expérience dans l’utilisation de langages de programmation (ex. : Python).
  • Expérience dans la gestion de projets de recherche complexes.
  • Familiarité avec la recherche sur la perte auditive.
  • Expérience souhaitée
  • Diplôme de troisième cycle en sciences, ingénierie, bio-ingénierie, ingénierie biomédicale ou science des matériaux.
  • Expérience préalable avec les produits et/ou les données de Cochlear Limited.
  • Expérience dans l’analyse des données psychophysiologiques, telles que les impédances.

Salaire

  • Plage salariale cible : 35,00 CAD par heure. La rémunération offerte peut varier selon l’expérience professionnelle, le niveau d’éducation et/ou les compétences du candidat.
