Creates and implements an integrated roadmap for all aspects of data and analytics risk governance in Marketing. Working with the CDAO, defines Enterprise Marketing’s Data Governance, Analytics and AI program including operating model, roles, accountabilities, and data governance policies and procedures for Marketing, in compliance with BMO’s Risk Directives. Defines and implements the program environment required to adhere effectively to Data, Analytics, AI and Privacy Risk Directives over time and deploys technologies to ensure Marketing’s compliance with standards, and aggregates updates from Marketing’s Data and Analytics Management Leads (DML/DAL) on policy changes. Maintains a “single source of truth’” set of program documents to authenticate status, progress and risk on all aspects of the data governance program environment in Marketing. Ensures that data is secure, private, accurate, available and usable. Establishes regular cycle of review and interpretation of enterprise data governance guidelines. Ensures data strategy and management practices are aligned in support of business objectives. Functions as CDAO delegate and creates a culture where data is managed as a valuable corporate asset, adheres to the regulations around data compliance, and reduces overall risk.
•Drives data governance by actively promoting improved data governance practices, enforcing policy, and following data governance best practices.
•Maintains a quarterly review of upcoming requirements, deliverables, attestations, leadership updates, meeting forums (EMDAC, EDAC, etc.) communication and training to sustain strong data management and governance in Marketing.
•Ensures effective data governance practices in place, i.e., process of setting standards, defining rules, establishing policy and implementing oversight, and steps required to adhere to data governance best practices, propagation and operability in Marketing, and communicates these practices in easy-to-understand and actionable language to Marketing partners.
•Works with CDAO to define activities, regular engagement and required agreements in place with CIOO and BMA owners to ensure effective data governance practices in place.
•In partnership with DML and DAL, establishes, maintains, and regularly reviews and recommends changes to data governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
•Co-leads the Enterprise Marketing Data & Analytics Council
•Conducts audits to ensure that policies, procedures and metrics are in place for maintaining/improving the program and that Marketing can demonstrate evidence of operability and is audit ready.
•Supports the CDAO in the design and implementation of Marketing’s Data Governance framework, including evolution of the operating model framework (roles and responsibilities across Marketing ecosystem, Stakeholder community, etc.); data management practices (as defined in Risk Directives); and ensures data management procedures, practices and compliance activities are implemented, followed on a regular basis, and Marketing can show evidence that they are followed/practiced.
•Aligns Marketing’s Data and Analytics Risk Governance program with the overall goals of Marketing’s strategy.
•Drives change in the organization to maximize the value of its data and plans for how the company will make those changes.

Salary:

$113,900.00 - $211,800.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
