Position: Cloud Operations Engineer (Middleware/Infrastructure) - Canada
Location: Toronto, Canada - Hybrid

Extreme Networks is looking for a highly capable cloud operations engineer. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and further improving the use of Middleware like Postgres, Amazon RDS, Elasticsearch, and Kafka as well as cloud service management in production.
Responsibilities:
- Managing scalable cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Be a focal, in managing middleware like Kafka, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Databases like Postgres.
- Ensuring reliability, and performance of Extreme Cloud services running in Kubernetes.
- Proactively identifying performance issues, providing recommendations, and implementing solutions for cloud services.
- Review Cloud Incidents and escalations, and work with the team and Developers to provide insights and help improve cloud services reliability.
- Providing 24/7 Incident Management support for middleware and production issues in response to Incident notifications
- Working with scrum teams in providing expertise and support in deploying new services
Required Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education
- 5+ years of Cloud Operations experience, preferably with Infrastructure/Middleware like databases, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with container-based architecture and deployment (Docker,
- Kubernetes.).
- Experience in a 24X7 production environment.
- Experience in root cause analysis, remediation, and problem resolution for complex systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes and administering Linux-based systems
- Experience in Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with networking is also a bonus.
