Job Summary
Stewart Title is seeking a talented writer and editor to join our in-house marketing and communication team as a Corporate Communications Specialist. This position is ideal for individuals looking to be part of a team that is enthusiastic, personable, and supportive in reaching goals. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively and clearly communicate our brand message, brand story, and product messaging to drive marketing efforts across our International Operations including Canada, the UK and Australia.
- Write, edit, and proofread concise, engaging and compelling content and marketing messages for a variety of materials and channels, including customer communications, email campaigns, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, articles, web pages, social media posts, video scripts, event invitations, tradeshow materials, and press releases.
- Review and edit existing materials to enhance clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Simplify complex product information to expertly craft copy to motivate conversion, making the benefits of our products simple, clear, and relevant to the end user.
- Own the execution of tone and voice, ensuring a consistent experience across all customer touchpoints.
- Work collaboratively to develop and fulfill the content calendar.
- Manage the content library, ensuring all materials are up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to source content and incorporate requested changes from internal business units and legal.
- Assist with media and public relations efforts both reactive and proactive, including development of internal briefs, speaking points and public statements.
- Set up a process for tracking changes and version control using technology.
- Seek ways to continually improve and help the company achieve its growth objectives.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of copywriting experience within an in-house team or external agency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, content management systems, and social media channels is essential, with experience in SharePoint environments considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of best practices for email and direct mail marketing.
- A portfolio that demonstrates all of the above.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfort collaborating across teams as well as working independently.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and sometimes tight deadlines.
- Understanding of media and public relations is an asset.
- Understanding of insurance and real estate is a plus.
Salary Range - $70,000 to 80,000 annually
