Position Summary


Highly motivated and dynamic specialist with experience in Configuration Management (CM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) 


Working as part of product development providing technical leadership and guidance in supporting hardware, mechanical and software teams to manage and control design documentation and deliverables, ensuring product designs are maintained in a desired state using a consistent approach for the release and maintenance of design documentation and product lifecycle data. 


Professional with ability to work in the Syntronicoffice with in-house projects and on-site or remote assignments at our customer’s locations 


Provide administration support to maintain the PLM database and user access 

You will be responsible to

  • Ensure appropriate processes are followed for the management and release of design documentation in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system 
  • Manage the Configuration Management Plan for each assigned project/product 
  • Provide support services to resolve configuration management issues during product and project lifecycles 
  • System administration activities include updating access for team members and support the maintenance of the tool license pool. 

What you'll need to get the job done

  • Knowledge and experience in CM and document control practices and principles 
  • Experience with the Arena PLM and Agile PLMtools. 
  • Working with and comprehension of part life cycle management, part numbers and bills of materials, etc.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new software tools, processes, and ways of working 
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and on your own 
  • Ability to work with different groups and on multiple assignments on a regular basis 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to allow effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams 
  • Strong organizational, planning, time management and interpersonal skills 
  • Service oriented 
  • Multitasking and prioritizing workflow as it changes 

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Understanding of hardware, mechanical and software design processes, and documentation requirements 
  • Using or reading schematic drawings, mechanical drawings, and other design work 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SharePoint

Required Education or Experience:

  • College Diploma (2-year technical program), with 5 years’ experience in configuration management
