Our Marketing & Communications team connects the world to lifelong transformative learning while shaping public conversations on the future of education and work. Under this sphere, we have Consumer and Growth Marketing, Degree Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, and Communications teams. We aim to extend Coursera’s brand reach and connect students to degree programs, new enterprise customers, and create a marketing system that supports learners throughout their professional journeys.

Coursera is seeking an International Merchandising Manager (Consumer Marketing Manager, International) to drive consumer growth strategies in markets outside the US. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing region-specific promotions and go-to-market strategies, developing impactful merchandising initiatives tailored for key markets, and creating culturally relevant messaging. You will also conduct experiments to refine these strategies, all aimed at driving business growth and delivering results. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and exhibit strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans for new content launches, thematic campaigns, and product features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution from brief development through reporting.
  • Promotions: Strategize, develop, and execute innovative regional offers, managing end-to-end processes from forecasting and brief creation to project execution and performance reporting.
  • Platform Merchandising: Oversee regional platform merchandising calendars, continuously optimizing merchandising pages and placements.
  • Experimentation and Optimization: Design, execute, and assess regional growth experiments. Utilize insights to refine and enhance the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on marketing campaign performance, providing actionable insights to inform and improve marketing strategies.
  • Market Insights: Investigate and interpret regional market trends and dynamics. Generate insights to shape strategic decisions that address the unique nuances of each market.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing, product marketing, merchandising, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing consumer marketing strategies for international markets, particularly within EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions, for digital businesses or e-commerce platforms.
  • Proven ability to execute integrated go-to-market plans and achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Travel up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong project management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive and decisive, with a strong ability to take the initiative and drive projects forward efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience in running marketing experiments.
  • Understanding of international consumer behaviors, market trends, and the development of culturally relevant merchandising strategies.

Compensation

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $90,400 - $113,000 for all Canada candidates. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
