Overview:

As a member of the Contracts Management Group, reporting into the Legal Department, the successful candidate will provide global support for the review and execution of contracts, with a focus on vendor contracts, by Mitel.

This is a temporary role for approximately 12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate the terms and conditions of contracts, with focus on legal requirements, to meet the needs of the business, while managing or mitigating risk for Mitel;

  • Interpret and understand various contract provisions for both sales and procurement contracts, and resolve or escalate issues, as necessary;

  • Oversee all aspects of managing and administering contracts, ensuring that internal processes and policies are followed;

  • Drive to meet business objectives by working closely with various teams within Mitel (sales, operations, finance, product management, marketing and research and development);

  • Perform general administration of contracts, including management of the contracts database and contract lifecycle; and

  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or high school diploma + relevant experience

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the review, drafting, negotiation and administration of commercial contracts;

  • Strong ability to draft appropriate contracts language within the required context;

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with a customer first approach;

  • Comfortable with direct negotiations with customers, suppliers and third-party vendors;

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills;

  • Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment; and

  • Ability to complete work independently while also working as part of a team.
