The Role
Cash App is seeking a visionary and hands-on Creative Director to lead our social media channels and drive the creative and creative strategy across all social platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping the brand's voice and ensuring that our content remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with our mission. You'll oversee organic and paid campaigns, guiding both in-house teams and external agencies, ensuring a world-class execution across our entire social landscape.
You'll lead the charge in creating experiences that stretch from polished, healthy-budget productions to reactive, fast-moving content that resonates with the pulse of culture. As a creative leader, you'll not only steer the team but will also jump into the work yourself, concepting, designing, writing and producing compelling content that elevates Cash App's social presence.
You Will

  • Lead the creative direction for all social media channels (organic), developing strategies that align with Cash App's brand and business objectives.
  • Concept, design, write and produce content alongside the team, balancing high-production value with speed and cultural relevance.
  • Oversee the ideation, creation, and execution of campaigns across platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (XFN) such as marketing, product, and brand to ensure social initiatives align with broader company goals.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and internal creative teams, fostering collaboration and excellence across both high-budget and nimble, fast-turn projects.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of social media trends and best practices, driving innovation and ensuring Cash App leads within the ever-evolving digital landscape.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining Cash App's high standards for creative excellence.
  • Ensure a seamless brand experience across all social touchpoints, while maintaining flexibility to adapt and evolve content to meet platform-specific nuances.


You Have

  • 8+ years in a creative leadership role, preferably in social media or digital content within fast-paced environments. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think big while also having a strong understanding of executional details, with a track record of balancing high-end production with quick-turn reactive content.
  • A doer as much as a leader, comfortable working on the tools, concepting, designing, and producing work.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with a finger on the pulse of what resonates across different audiences. Strong understanding of digital analytics and how to use insights to optimize social media content.
  • Experience collaborating across marketing, product, and brand teams to ensure a unified vision across channels.
  • Proven success in managing and inspiring creative teams, with a strong ability to foster collaboration and creative excellence.
  • An ability to produce work that moves at the speed of culture, seamlessly integrating Cash App into the conversation.
  • Experience working within tech or lifestyle brands is a plus.
