The Runbook Lead will play a crucial role in supporting clients' efforts to establish robust, multi-faceted runbook that will play a critical role in SAP command centre cutover events.

In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, document and execute detailed cutover runbook(s) including, but not limited to:

1. Define cutover playbook strategy, frameworks and templates 
2. Align playbook strategy with specific processes and gates 
3. Build and manage L1 runbook (end-to-end - cross stream) a. Rolls up all L2-4 tasks, with dependencies from all runbooks b. Defines Go/No-Go decision points, with decision ownership c. Includes both roll-back and fix-forward runbooks, with criteria d. Establish effective tracking mechanisms to periodically review progress e. Incorporate milestone reviews and business Go/No-Go reviews along with technical delivery f. Ensure that a runbook satisfies all exit criteria requirements (ensure completeness of release)
4. Engage and lead cross stream leads in consistent use of runbooks
5. Gate (entry/exit) runbook readiness and lessons learned for each rehearsal
6. Works with client to define and complete production handover

Additionally, you will participate in technical and dress rehearsal events to test and optimize runbook(s) in preparation for live cutover events.

You will work under the guidance of Cutover Lead and in partnership with other command centre leaders including the Reporting Lead and Incident Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to participate in large enterprise cutover events with an emphasis on creating a world class execution runbook for events.

Requirements:

  •  Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical customers
  • ability to organize resources across different event shifts to provide effective reporting through an entire cutover event
  • Ability to work well within a team to learn and share knowledge
