It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world's relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We've been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.
The Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Third Party Response (3PR) team. This role focuses on building, scaling, and maintaining data solutions that support external regulatory and compliance reporting. You will partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent delivery of data to regulators, auditors, and external partners.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data, regulation, and business strategy, where your work directly contributes to maintaining trust with regulators and safeguarding Block's ability to operate in financial services.
You Will
  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of BI pipelines, dashboards, and reporting assets used for regulatory and external data reporting.
  • Work with Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering partners to help translate regulatory requirements into clear data deliverables.
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity and auditability by contributing to documentation, data validation, and QA steps for reporting.
  • Help respond to ad-hoc regulatory requests and audits by gathering data and ensuring accuracy under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Infrastructure teams to improve and automate recurring reporting processes.
  • Contribute updates to a centralized reporting dictionary and knowledge base for regulatory deliverables.
  • Stay aware of changes in regulatory expectations and support the team in adapting reporting as needed.
  • Provide basic analysis and context on regulatory data, flagging potential issues or trends to more senior team members.
  • Communicate progress and findings with team leads and cross-functional partners in a clear and timely manner.

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or regulatory reporting
  • Experience with SQL and large-scale data sets
  • Proficiency with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.)
  • Understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data warehouse concepts
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex data clearly
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CFPB, FDIC, OCC) and experience supporting audits/exams
  • Experience working with Legal, Compliance, or Risk teams
