Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture & Design:

  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workloads.
  • Design data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Define data models, schemas, and metadata management strategies to optimize data flows and storage.

Cloud Data Engineering (AWS & Databricks):

  • Build, monitor, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and AWS Glue, EMR.
  • Implement batch and streaming data processes utilizing Databricks notebooks, Spark, and other big data frameworks.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security through the use of best practices and AWS-native security tools like IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.
  • Optimize Databricks clusters and workflows for cost efficiency and performance.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform data analysis to derive actionable insights that support business decisions and KPIs.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, software engineers, and business units to align data solutions with organizational goals.
  • Communicate data architecture decisions, strategies, and progress with stakeholders at all levels.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Implement data governance frameworks and ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and SOX compliance.
  • Develop policies and procedures for data access, security, and retention.
