Lead data architecture for a Justice Information Management System modernization: consolidate reporting marts into an EDW, perform data profiling and modeling, develop ETL (SSIS), ensure data quality and governance, validate reporting, and communicate with stakeholders.
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to support a large-scale Justice Information Management System (JIMS) 3.0 data integration and modernization initiative. The successful candidate will help consolidate multiple reporting data marts into an integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and supporting data marts and views. This role will focus on data architecture, data profiling, data modeling, ETL development, data quality, reporting validation, and enterprise data governance.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience providing architecture risk assessments and architecture-related services.
- 2+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments, with an understanding of public-sector policies and practices.
- 5+ years of experience working with data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data solutions.
- 5+ years of experience developing with data modeling/architecture tools such as SAP/Sybase PowerDesigner or equivalent.
- Strong experience with data warehousing, ETL, data marts, facts, dimensions, and data modeling.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of information management, data governance, data quality, and cybersecurity policies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
