DevOps Developer (AWS)

Fully Remote Opportunity

About BrightOrder

We build technology that keeps fleets safer, smarter, and more profitable.

Our platform connects maintenance, telematics, and data to help operators make real-time decisions.

We’re scaling fast across North America and we need exceptional builders who code, automate, and optimize systems end-to-end.

The Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Developer with strong coding ability and deep AWS expertise.

You’ll write production-grade code in Python, JavaScript, and Go (Golang) while designing, deploying, and monitoring high-availability services.

This role blends development and DevOps — you’ll create tools, automate workflows, and ship code that keeps BrightOrder’s cloud infrastructure fast, secure, and reliable.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend and automation services using Python, JavaScript, and Go (Golang).
  • Build internal tooling and automation scripts to accelerate deployments and monitoring.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, zero-downtime releases.
  • Optimize and maintain databases (PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora) for scalability and performance.
  • Configure and manage AWS services (ECS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain message queues with RabbitMQ for inter-service communication.
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build observability dashboards and alerts using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to speed up scripting, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, and other developers to deliver scalable, high-quality releases.
  • Follow and enforce security best practices across all environments.

RequirementsMust-Have Experience
  • 3–5+ years of backend or DevOps development experience.
  • Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code in Python, JavaScript, and Go (Golang).
  • Solid command of AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora (query tuning, backups, optimization).
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ or similar message queues.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system security.
  • Demonstrated use of AI-powered development tools for code generation, documentation, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with React.JS or UI integrations for internal tooling.
  • Knowledge of Redis, serverless architectures, or microservices.
  • Exposure to fleet management, logistics, or telematics software.

BenefitsWhy BrightOrder
  • Impact that matters — your work keeps fleets running and industries moving.
  • Fully remote, high-trust culture built on accountability and autonomy.
  • Competitive compensation with health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Continuous learning through mentorship, new tech, and AI-driven innovation.
  • A team that values integrity, ownership, and excellence.
