This role will be responsible for infrastructure development, configuration management, and deployment
pipeline for application and system. As a DevOps Developer, you will also be responsible for improving
security and performance measures.
Things You'll Do:
- Architect and deploy secure, scalable AWS environments leveraging VPCs, subnets, routing, EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, Direct Connect and other core services to meet performance and availability targets.
- Build and manage advanced networking configurations, including VPC peering, Transit Gateways and Network Load Balancers, to support multi-region architectures and efficient service-to-service communication.
- Define and maintain comprehensive cloud security controls: configure firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), enforce encryption in transit and at rest, manage IAM roles and policies, perform threat analysis and implement network segmentation using tools like VPC Endpoints and AWS Network Firewall.
- Automate the provisioning, configuration and management of infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployments.
- Implement comprehensive observability, monitoring and logging across AWS resources to detect anomalies early and enable rapid root-cause analysis.
- Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Snyk, Linkerd, Argo CD and others), integrating automated testing and security scanning to accelerate delivery while improving resilience and quality.
- Collaborate closely with security and engineering teams to align infrastructure design with application architecture and ensure systems evolve securely and efficiently.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical networking and infrastructure issues, ensuring swift remediation and minimal service disruption.
- Minimum of 3 years designing, deploying and operating production-grade cloud services in AWS, with a focus on SaaS environments where uptime, security and scalability are paramount.
- Proven ability to design, implement and troubleshoot complex network architectures using VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, security groups, VPNs/Direct Connect, and advanced networking features (e.g. VPC peering,Transit Gateway).
- Experience integrating AWS networking services seamlessly to enable secure communication across multi-account or multi-region setups.
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible to codify network and infrastructure components, ensuring repeatability and reducing manual configuration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control to manage infrastructure-as-code deployments.
- Strong understanding of network segmentation and defence-in-depth strategies.
- Practical experience implementing security controls such as firewalls, encryption (TLS/IPSec), IAM policies and threat analysis to safeguard cloud resources.
- Comfortable with fundamental protocols and technologies—routing, load balancing, VPNs, TCP/IP—and how they apply within cloud ecosystems.
- Able to diagnose performance issues and optimize network paths for latency and throughput.
- Experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) as they relate to networking.
- Ability to collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD workflows and infrastructure integration.
- Clear communicator who works well across teams troubleshooting.
