The Role
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Security and Infrastructure team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will have responsibility for building and maintaining cloud based infrastructure. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering teams to solve operational problems, design and implement solutions, tools and practices that help us to increase operational productivity at a large scale. This role is vital in promoting collaboration between engineering to allow for delivery and management of services.
As a key contributor to our Engineering team you will be responsible for:
- Work closely with Engineering stakeholders to design and maintain a reliable, scalable and secure platform
- Optimize existing deployment Tooling and Infrastructure, including but not limited to creating and maintenance new CI/CD Pipelines, optimizing infrastructure for cost or performance to meet our company goals
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Provides DevOps domain expertise for existing projects and new initiatives
- Set up and maintain test environments for manual and automated testing
- Conduct and analyze results of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing and action findings
- Plan and perform ongoing routine application maintenance tasks
- Participate in on-call rotations for monitoring and alerting
- Identify cost saving opportunities within our infrastructure
A successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and/or automation engineering
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS
- Experience with running and managing systems and services on a cloud platform (AWS)
- Strong understanding of database technologies such as MongoDB
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes & Linux Systems
- Knowledge of Terraform and Packer
- Experience deploying cloud service, monitoring, alerting, and handling critical issues
- Agile development experience
- Works well in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- The ability to work without close supervision and thrive in an autonomous working environment that allows for high levels of freedom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Technical curiosity and desire for continuous learning
Nice to have:
- AWS DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with Cloud based security protocols
