AOT Technologies is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and maintain the automation and infrastructure that powers our consulting and product delivery.

Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining efficient automation processes to streamline build, deployment, and release pipelines. You will manage and optimize critical DevOps tools and infrastructure to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery across our consulting and product teams.
You will:
- Develop and maintain automation processes for build, deployment, and release pipelines, using industry-standard tools and methodologies, to streamline software delivery and reduce manual intervention
- Manage Jenkins, Ansible Tower, and Azure DevOps infrastructure through configuration and optimization to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows and system reliability
- Administer source control management systems, implementing best practices and access controls, to securely manage and version code for software projects
- Manage and maintain various DevOps applications and tools, performing routine updates and troubleshooting, to ensure optimal performance and integration with development workflows
- Monitor Linux, Windows, network, and Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure using monitoring tools and proactive management to ensure system stability and performance
- Provide consulting services, expert advice, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, analyzing their needs and suggesting tailored solutions to optimize DevOps practices
- Assist internal stakeholders in supporting business operations — including recruitment, marketing, sales, RFP, and training — by providing technical insights and support
- Participate in the experimental development of AOT’s products, engaging in prototyping and innovation to contribute to the evolution of new features and technologies
- Keep up-to-date with industry-standard technologies by participating in AOT’s performance and training programs, ensuring continuous professional development and application of current best practices
- Work in person or remotely with various internal and external stakeholders across different time zones and locations, coordinating tasks and meetings to fulfill job responsibilities effectively
You are a technically strong DevOps practitioner who takes pride in building reliable, scalable pipelines and infrastructure. You bring a proactive mindset, a love of automation, and the ability to collaborate across development and operations teams to deliver continuous value.
Must-Have- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3+ year of experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation
- 5+ years of experience in release management and release deployment
- Minimum of 5 years of overall industry experience
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Azure (required)
- Experience with Python and shell scripting
- Demonstrated experience with REST and SOAP services, API integration, and web technologies
- AWS, Azure, or Red Hat certifications
- Experience working in government or enterprise environments
- Comfort working with distributed teams and clients across time zones
- Experience in Agile development environments
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, with optional hybrid collaboration available in Victoria, BC.
