Job Description
We're seeking a highly motivated DevOps Manager to empower our global development organization. If you thrive in leading cross-functional teams, collaborating across diverse locations, and have a passion for optimizing development processes and tools, this role is for you.
What you'll do:
- Lead the charge: Guide and inspire a dynamic team of DevOps Engineers.
- Bridge the gap: Facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange between geographically dispersed teams.
- Drive innovation: Spearhead the development and enhancement of our development systems and toolchains.
- Champion continuous improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to refine our tools, technologies, and workflows.
- Empower success: Proactively remove roadblocks and ensure teams have the resources they need to excel.
- Foster alignment: Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to achieve shared objectives.
- Embrace agility: Be a passionate advocate for Agile principles and practices.
What you bring:
- Proven leadership: 3+ years of experience leading and motivating development teams.
- Technical expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience in development or DevOps, demonstrating a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
- Educational foundation: A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Agile enthusiast: A deep understanding and appreciation for Agile methodologies.
- Jira proficiency: Experience utilizing Jira for project management and issue tracking.
- Communication ace: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to foster collaboration and understanding.
Bonus points for:
- Version control guru: Familiarity with source code management systems such as Git and GitHub.
- Build system aficionado: Experience with Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Cloud infrastructure expert: Knowledge of Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
- Containerization champion: Proficiency in Docker and containerization technologies.

Target Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000 CAD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions' values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
