The Summer 2025 Co-op Student will work closely with the DevSecOps team on their key initiatives. This role will represent DevSecOps when working with key business stakeholders to improve business processes.
This position will be based in our Florenceville office, with the expectation of working onsite/in-office three days a week.

The DevSecOps co-op student will assist the six-person team across India, the Toronto office, and the other10+ team members globally in ensuring a world-class DevSecOps framework is built and implemented to ease McCain`s software delivery and improve time to market. The DevSecOps team is part of Infrastructure& Operations and focuses on enhancing Engineering velocity and automating the entire application and infrastructure software delivery process to drive agility.

Compensation Package: $23.00 - $26.00 CAD hourly wage equivalent, paid salary.

What you'll be doing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, test, and deploy CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure code for Azure cloud environments, including Kubernetes clusters, container apps, and networking resources.
- Create automated workflows for continuously integrating and deploying containerized applications to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps.
- Work with Kubernetes and Docker to streamline container lifecycle management and orchestration across development and production environments.
- Troubleshoot, optimize and enhance CI/CD processes and tools to ensure smooth deployments and minimize downtime.
- Conduct unit testing and monitor pipelines to ensure efficient and error-free deployments.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of university, seeking a bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for provisioning cloud infrastructure, especially within Azure.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Functions.
- A willingness to learn about containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud computing.
- Knowledge or strong interest in CI/CD processes and tools, with hands-on experience in GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Prior knowledge or interest in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and team collaboration skills.
