We are looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to lead the next evolution of our brand growth with a digital-first mindset. This is a role for a modern brand builder who deeply understands how culture moves across social platforms, how creators shape consumer behavior, and how powerful storytelling drives both brand and business impact.
This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, social media, influencer ecosystems, and go-to-market execution. You will lead a team responsible for social media, community management, influencers, and ambassadors, while partnering cross-functionally to bring innovation launches and tentpole brand moments to life.
We are looking for someone who can elevate how Open Farm shows up across social and creator ecosystems, raising the creative bar, driving scale, and delivering breakthrough work that earns attention and drives engagement. The ideal candidate combines creative instincts with data-driven rigor, knows how to take smart risks while staying true to the brand, and can connect digital engagement to measurable brand and business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Own Social-First Brand Growth
- Own and evolve how Open Farm shows up across social and creator ecosystems, ensuring our brand storytelling is culturally relevant, creatively compelling, and built for modern platforms.
- Develop and lead a digital-first brand strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and demand through social media, creators, and digital content ecosystems.
- Raise the creative and performance bar across social and digital channels, pushing the team to develop work that breaks through, earns attention, and resonates with consumers.
- Foster a culture of creative experimentation and smart risk-taking, continuously testing new formats, storytelling approaches, and platform opportunities.
Lead Social, Influencer & Community Ecosystems
- Lead strategy and execution across social media, influencer partnerships, ambassador programs, and community management.
- Build and scale a creator and influencer ecosystem that drives authentic storytelling, cultural relevance, and meaningful brand reach.
- Develop programs designed to generate outsized engagement, impressions, and earned reach, while maintaining brand consistency and authenticity.
- Stay deeply connected to platform trends, creator communities, and cultural shifts, bringing fresh thinking on how brands win in modern social environments.
Connect Brand Storytelling to Business Performance
- Establish frameworks that connect social and influencer performance to brand health, demand generation, and revenue growth.
- Partner with analytics and growth teams to define the right metrics and continuously optimize creative and channel strategies based on performance insights.
- Use data and experimentation to ensure brand storytelling delivers both emotional connection and measurable business impact.
- Bring a strong understanding of how brand marketing supports growth across both DTC and retail environments.
Lead 360 campaigns and Go-To-Market for Innovation & Tentpole Moments
- Partner cross-functionally to lead brand marketing execution for product innovation launches, tentpole moments, and key brand campaigns.
- Develop storytelling and content ecosystems that bring brand moments (cultural, new product launches, occasions) to life across social, creator partnerships, digital content, and both DTC and retail storytelling.
- Ensure launches and tentpole initiatives deliver breakthrough creative, strong cultural relevance, and meaningful reach across channels to then deliver on revenue growth.
- Launch and lead upper and mid funnel activations to promote strong and consistent brand storytelling and brand attribution across different touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Creative Director, Growth, Ecommerce, Retail Marketing, PR, and Product teams to drive aligned and impactful execution.
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
- Lead and develop a team responsible for social media, influencer marketing, community management, and ambassador programs.
- Set clear priorities and raise the standard for both creative output and performance results.
- Create an environment where teams feel empowered to experiment, move quickly, and take ownership of outcomes.
Support Modern Discovery (SEO & AEO)
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure brand storytelling supports modern discovery behaviors including SEO and emerging AI-driven search (AEO).
- Help shape content strategies that improve brand visibility while strengthening the performance of our broader digital ecosystem.
Skills & Experience
Digital-First Brand Builder
- 8–10 years of experience in digital marketing, brand marketing with strong digital ownership or social-led brand building.
- Proven ability to build and scale brands through modern digital ecosystems including social media, creators, content, and community.
- Strong brand fundamentals paired with a deep understanding of how digital engagement drives business results.
- Strong understanding and capabilities in driving Earned and Shared to punch above our weight
Social & Influencer Expertise
- Deep understanding of how social platforms work and how content breaks through.
- Experience building and scaling influencer, ambassador, or creator programs that drive cultural relevance and measurable impact.
- Strong intuition for culture, trends, and consumer behavior across modern digital platforms.
Strong Marketing Acumen:
- Strong experience across all 4Ps
- Strong understanding of marketing and brand fundamentals
- Brand health literacy - ability to identify and action business, brand and consumer insights
Data-Driven Decision Maker
- Demonstrated ability to connect brand initiatives to measurable outcomes including engagement, reach, brand health, and revenue growth.
- Comfortable using data to inform creative strategy, content development, and investment decisions.
Go-To-Market & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Experience leading go-to-market strategies for launches, campaigns, or brand initiatives.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally and align teams around shared priorities and clear execution plans.
- Experience in leading fully integrated, 360 campaigns that bring cohesive and strong storytelling across all touchpoints (Earned, Paid, Shared and Owned)
Leadership & Communication
- Clear and confident communicator who can simplify complexity and align teams around bold ideas.
- Collaborative leader who listens, builds trust, and drives execution with accountability.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve and ownership matters.

Hybrid Work
At Open Farm, we believe in the power of collaboration, meaningful connections, and enjoying our work together—furry friends included! That’s why we’ve adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
