Job Description Summary:

Location: Toronto, ON (Preferred)

At The Coca-Cola Company, our mission is simple: refresh the world and make a difference. In your role as Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations – Canada (Still Portfolio), you’ll have the exciting opportunity to shape the strategic future of our Still beverage portfolio across Canadian retail channels. This portfolio includes innovative and beloved brands such as Smartwater, Vitaminwater, Dasani, Aha, Fuze, Peace Tea, and Gold Peak Tea.

This role is ideal for a results-driven individual with exceptional strategic acumen, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving category growth within a fast-paced environment. You’ll partner cross-functionally with our Brand, Franchise, Commercial Leadership, and Canadian Bottler teams, serving as the architect of competitive commercial strategies that drive performance and deliver results.

The strong preference is for this role to be located in Toronto, ON and reports directly to the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations for North America, with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Franchise Commercial for Canada.

What You’ll Do for Us

The key to success in this role is owning and driving commercial excellence for our Stills Portfolio. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Define & Execute Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement innovative, market-relevant strategies that elevate our Still brands in Canada. Partner closely with our Canadian Bottler and influence execution across retail channels such as large stores, small stores, and club accounts.

  • Annual Commercial Planning: Collaborate with North America Brand teams to adapt strategies for the Canadian market, secure Franchise and Bottler alignment, and oversee the deployment of operational plans that deliver measurable results.

  • Serve as Canadian System Liaison: Act as the go-to Canadian subject-matter expert for North America HQ teams. Represent the nuanced needs of the Canadian market and advocate for country-specific initiatives where necessary.

  • Develop Execution Guidelines: Partner with the Franchise Channel Execution team to create impactful execution plans that translate strategic goals into in-market success.

  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Monitor key performance metrics for the portfolio, identifying and addressing opportunities for growth and areas requiring course correction.

  • Portfolio Management: Work with Brand teams and Canadian Franchise partners to assess performance, implement portfolio optimization initiatives, and manage plans for product acceleration or discontinuation.

  • System Alignment: Champion commercial strategies while maintaining strong relationships across the Coca-Cola System, delivering critical updates and ensuring alignment with Canadian Franchise and Bottler teams through structured routines.

Your role will be integral to influencing business outcomes and shaping the future of Coca-Cola’s Still portfolio in Canada.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a combination of strategic leadership, analytical expertise, and robust relationship-building skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in the consumer goods or beverage industry. Specific expertise with retail channels is highly desirable.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence in cross-functional organizational structures – both internal teams (e.g., Brand, Category, Franchise) and external partners (e.g., Bottler, Retailers).

  • Collaboration & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.

  • Brand & Category Management: Demonstrated expertise in category and portfolio management, including strategies for optimization and growth.

  • Change Catalyst: A track record of thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with the ability to embrace and proactively drive change.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and persuasive communicator. Able to distill complex strategies into actionable plans and deliver inspiring messages to internal and external audiences.

  • Analytical Thinking: Critical thinker with a talent for translating data-driven insights into actionable strategies that yield measurable results.

What We Can Do for You

At The Coca-Cola Company, we believe in growing our people as much as we do our brands. Here’s what we offer:

  • Iconic & Diverse Brands: Be part of the magic behind a portfolio of over 500 globally recognized brands, including innovative launches such as AHA and legacy favorites like Dasani.

  • A Collaborative Network: Work cross-functionally to shape results in a dynamic market, while forging connections within the Canadian system and North America HQ teams.

  • Career Growth Opportunities: Gain exposure to both regional and global teams while delivering impact in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.

  • Empowerment to Innovate: Play a critical and active role in shaping the future of beverage opportunities with creative freedom to drive innovation and lead change.

  • Diverse Customers: Interface with a wide variety of customers, from grocery outlets to club stores, unlocking unique challenges in every channel.
