What you will achieve
As the Director of Infrastructure, you'll serve as the connective tissue between our internal delivery teams and our most strategically complex customer environments. Your mission is to ensure our platform performs with high availability, compliance, and scalability across classified and unclassified networks—and that customers experience Onebrief as a critical, trusted part of their daily work.
You’ll lead initiatives to harden infrastructure, scale secure deployments, evolve internal tooling, and guide how we deliver reliable, secure, and supportable environments as we grow. This role is central to how we maintain our execution speed while earning trust in highly sensitive environments.
This is a net-new role reporting to the CIO, with a clear mandate: establish Onebrief’s ability to meet growing enterprise demands without sacrificing our speed or customer obsession.
About You
You're a pragmatic, mission-driven technical leader who thrives in ambiguity and builds leverage through systems thinking. Whether your background is rooted in the private tech sector, the DoD, or a combination of both, what matters most is your ability to meet the technical bar and lead with clarity. If you bring the right strengths, we're confident we can get you ramped into the domain-specific nuances within your first 90 days.
You think in terms of availability, automation, and maintainability, and know how to balance risk reduction with execution velocity. You’ve built and led technical programs that deliver measurable impact, and you’re comfortable working with C-level stakeholders, program managers, and engineers alike.
Your most recent titles might have been something like Director of Infrastructure, Head of Engineering Operations, VP of IT, or Deputy Director of IT from a public sector agency—you’ve been the person others trust when uptime, compliance, or internal systems are on the line.
