Key Responsibilities:
The IT Director – IGA(Identity Governance and Administration) is responsible for supporting our business partners from our Cyber Security team in the area of Identity and Access Management. This is a critical area of importance for Stanley Black and Decker and would partner across cybersecurity, infrastructure, audit, HR and other capability teams to ensure identity governance controls are effective, scalable and audit-ready through the use of technology. They will operate as the enterprise authority for IGA and the SailPoint application.
The IT Directory - IGA will be a member of the Global Legal and Compliance IT team for roadmap execution and delivering key technology needs while owning the SailPoint platform strategy, architecture, governance and service performance and provide oversight and performance management of our MSP partners delivering operational IGA services, ensuring SLA compliance, quality execution and continuous improvement.
Key Activities:
- Define and maintain the IGA technology strategy aligned to enterprise security, compliance, audit, and digital transformation objectives
- Lead major IGA technology initiatives
- Coordinate internal teams and MSP resources to deliver initiatives on time and with high quality
- Serve as the functional and technical owner for the SailPoint platform environment
- Oversee platform design decisions, configuration standards, integration patterns, and lifecycle management
- Ensure the IGA program supports internal control requirements, audit expectations, and regulatory obligations
- Hold the MSP accountable for day-to-day delivery, operational quality, SLA adherence, and support outcomes related to SailPoint and broader IGA services
- Provide architectural leadership for SailPoint integrations with key enterprise systems
- Serve as the primary senior contact for business, security, and technology stakeholders on IGA matters
- Communicate priorities, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to leadership and control partners
- Facilitate alignment between business requirements and technical implementation
- Manage the operational relationship with the MSP and with SailPoint and/or other implementation partners
- Review statements of work, delivery commitments, resource models, and support structures
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning for the IGA function
- Able to develop and deploy IGA technology best practices
- Support for customer audits, and compliance reviews
- Be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time in a dynamic environment while requiring minimal levels of supervision
- Strong social, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively present analytical data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skill
- Collaborative team member with a cross functional, multi-discipline team
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment, with demanding deadlines while ensuring internal/external customer needs are met
Knowledge
- A strong functional knowledge and extensive experience of systems/capabilities, specifically with SailPoint Identity Now and other IAM/IGA tools
- Knowledge of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) and User Access Reviews (UAR) processes
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or other requirements management tools
- Deep understanding of application portfolio, IT strategy and roadmap, and business priorities
- Security, privacy and risk mindset
Education/Experience:
• Undergraduate degree and 10+ years relevant experience, or
• Graduate degree and 8-10 years relevant experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 3-6 years leadership experience.
