Director of Retail Brand Marketing 

Position Overview:  

Brilliant Earth is searching for a Director of Retail Brand Marketing to lead and execute the retail brand experience within its approximately 40 showroom locations across the United States. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience as a strategic retail marketing leader who has conceived, executed, and maintained elevated brand experiences for premium consumer brands. With a strong presence in both physical retail showrooms and e-commerce, Brilliant Earth aims to create an elevated, premium Brand experience across all consumer touchpoints. We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Retail Brand Marketer to bring the Brilliant Earth brand to life across our physical showroom experiences. 

As the Director of Retail Brand Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the retail brand strategy across all touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and compelling customer journey. This leadership position requires a visionary marketer with a deep understanding of both traditional and digital retail landscapes, a passion for the jewelry industry, and a proven track record of successfully leading and executing brand marketing initiatives. Additionally, you will serve as a critical team member in the development of new showrooms, contributing your expertise to create immersive and elevated brand experiences. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive retail brand marketing strategy aligned with overall business and brand objectives. 
  • Lead the integration of retail brand marketing initiatives across physical stores, e-commerce, and other emerging channels. 
  • Provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand experience across all showroom formats. 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create a unified brand presence that maximizes customer experience and loyalty.  
  • Serve as a critical team member in the development of new showrooms, ensuring the retail brand experience is seamlessly integrated into the showroom design and customer journey. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring the brand to life in physical spaces, optimizing design, layout, visual merchandising, and overall consumer experience. 
  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive traffic, sales, and brand affinity. 
  • Serve as a critical member of the Brand leadership team in defining and communicating the brand positioning, ensuring it resonates with our target audience and reflects the brand's unique value proposition.  
  • Partner with the Vice President, Integrated Marketing to craft compelling and effective messaging that differentiates the brand and drives customer engagement. 
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability within the marketing department. 
  • Develop and manage the retail brand marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact. 

Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of experience in retail brand marketing with a D2C brand, luxury/considered purchase and omnichannel experience preferred.  
  • Proven track record of developing and leading retail executions at scale. 
  • Robust leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams. 
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a high level of adaptability, organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Understanding and acceptance of diversity, equity, inclusion and workplace belonging concepts.  
  • Interest in socially and environmentally responsible organizations and products  
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
