We're looking for a highly motivated, analytical Director of Strategic Finance to join our Strategic Finance team as a critical business partner to Product. In this role, you'll help shape product strategy and drive profitability through rigorous financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic recommendations.
The ideal candidate operates with significant autonomy, exercising strong judgment on decisions with financial, operational, or customer impact. You'll bring advanced financial modeling skills along with the communication ability to influence business partners and decision-makers, both verbally and in writing.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the primary finance partner to the product team, providing financial guidance and support for strategic decision-making.
- Business Case Development: Partner with product team to create robust business cases for new product initiatives, features, and investments, evaluating potential ROI and financial impact.
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profitability, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Unit Economics: Partner with Product and Risk leadership to analyze cohort performance, lifetime value (LTV), customer acquisition costs (CAC), and pricing/packaging structures to maximize product gross margins.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports and insights to senior management, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
- Cross-Team Integration: Create bridges between teams and ensure shared understanding. Provide ongoing updates to the Finance (Local and Global teams) and leadership team
What You'll Need
- 10+ years of experience in business finance or other finance-focused competency experience
- Demonstrated experience partnering closely with product leaders to build products at scale.
- Experience in managing multiple competing priorities effectively
- Strategic thinking with demonstrated business judgement and quantitative skills
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
